Changing Home Care Package (HCP) provider
Each person has choice and control over their Home Care provider.
People change their Home Care Package provider for a variety of reasons including:
- Better value for money.
- Higher quality services and support, especially if there are communication issues or inconsistent and unreliable carers from a current provider.
- Needs have changed and the current provider does not meet the needs.
- Relocating to a different area.
As of January 2023, providers cannot charge exit fees. Generally, most providers require two weeks’ notice to change.
Your local Just Better Care office can assist you to find this information within your Home Care Package Agreement or Service Agreement as part of the process to change your Home Care Package Provider to Just Better Care.
